Wonder Girls love chendol
IF YOU are out in town, pay close attention as you might spot Wonder Girls shopping in Orchard Road.
Here in town as Sony Ericsson ambassadors, members of the popular Korean girl group will be making an appearance this afternoon at the regional media launch for Sony Ericsson's new series of mobile phones.
Wonder Girls comprising Kim Yu Bin, 21; Park Ye Eun, 20; Min Sun Ye, 20; Ahn So Hee, 17; and new member Lim Hye Rim, 17 will reportedly speak about their experiences using the new Sony Ericsson phones during the event at Resorts World Sentosa.
They will also perform a 15-minute set at a media appreciation dinner held this evening before leaving tomorrow.
Buzz about the popular Korean girl band's arrival began last Tuesday, when Park, known as Yenny among fans, tweeted about visiting Singapore.
Later, she asked fans for their suggestions on must-try food in Singapore. The tweets drew some 400 responses from fans all over Asia, who recommended dishes such as laksa and ice kachang.
Twitter member pink_luverz recommended durian, saying its smell is strong but "it is very delicious".
The girls arrived in Singapore early last Saturday, and it seems Yenny took her fans' advice to heart.
